The Process Package Review Meeting for South Korea Green Methanol Project was successfully held at Heda Kaiyuan Environmental Protection Technology (Nanjing) Co., Ltd.
From April 20 to 23, 2026, the process package review meeting for the South Korean Green Methanol Project was successfully held at Gongda Kaiyuan Environmental Protection Technology (Nanjing) Co., Ltd. The meeting gathered professional experts and patented technology teams from South Korea’s HYOJIN Corporation, Sanyi Design Institute, and Sinopec Ningbo Engineering Co., Ltd., to carry out special review work on the project process package.
The meeting was presided over by Dong Weijia, General Manager of the New Energy Business Department of the company. At the opening of the meeting, Dong Weijia extended a warm welcome to the South Korean delegation and guests from all cooperative institutions. She elaborated on the company’s core technological accumulation, complete R&D capabilities and comprehensive engineering design strength in the green methanol sector. She stated that the company intends to take this process package review as a key opportunity to deepen transnational technological collaboration and industrial cooperation, and fully promote the efficient implementation and high-quality development of overseas new energy projects.
During the meeting, the South Korean team systematically introduced the construction background of the Saemangeum Green Methanol Project, local new energy industry standards, environmental access specifications and core technical indicators in South Korea. The technical team of our company comprehensively presented the full-process process scheme for green methanol production, fully displayed the design achievements of six core process packages from raw material gasification to finished methanol production, and accepted rigorous and all-round review from the South Korean expert group.
All participating parties conducted in-depth discussions and targeted consultations on core topics including joint design optimization, technical parameter adaptation, project engineering implementation and business coordination. Focusing on key links such as process detail iteration, core equipment selection and adaptation, as well as energy consumption and efficiency optimization management, the South Korean expert group put forward a number of highly professional and targeted optimization suggestions, providing important technical support for the improvement and upgrading of the project process scheme. Meanwhile, our company’s mature and complete complete set of technical systems, refined engineering design capabilities and rigorous and pragmatic professional attitude were highly recognized and fully affirmed by the South Korean team.
This in-depth communication and docking has enabled China and South Korea to reach all-round consensus on project progress rhythm, technical coordination mechanisms and long-term strategic cooperation layout, laying a solid foundation for both parties to jointly explore the overseas clean energy market and facilitate the implementation of the global dual-carbon goals.
The successful convening of this process package review meeting has further consolidated the foundation of mutual trust and cooperation between China and South Korea, and built a solid technical and cooperative barrier for the steady advancement of the overseas biomass-to-methanol project. In the next step, Gongda Kaiyuan will comprehensively sort out and accurately adopt the optimization suggestions put forward by the South Korean side, and quickly complete the iterative upgrading of the process scheme. At the same time, the company will strictly follow the established project time schedule, consolidate work responsibilities and refine the docking procedures, advance all subsequent project construction work with high standards and high efficiency, and fully guarantee the smooth implementation and commissioning of the Green Methanol Project in South Korea.
